Nice, France and Monte Carlo, Monaco

It is already second week of December, and I just realised, I haven’t finished my Euro Trip post. So.. This time, it would be on what happened in Nice, France and Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Hurm.. From Milan.. We almost missed the bus to Nice just because I didn't realise we took the wrong coach of train. Zarina took off at the station where the train forked out, while Gent called up for me, and we changed train and go back to the station where Zarina was waiting. And shoot straight to the bus station.
We reached at the bus station 5 minutes late from the time of departure, and seeing there was no bus waiting for us, we sorta losing hope already, when suddenly a bus came, and I went to ask if they go Nice. The bus driver said yes, and was mad, at us, while pointing at the watch telling us that we were late. Nag or no nag, Alhamdulillah the bus turned back for us! phewwwww~ Smile
So, at 5.30 pm or so, from Milan, we reached Nice at midnight. We were supposed to be staying at our friend’s friend, Alia in Nice, which we never met. The thing is, we don't have her address, and we were searching around for a public phone, only to realise that the public phone only use phone card! and all the shops were closed since it was already midnight. >.< and I was having the problem of my life, running around because of my weak bladder problem. Grrrrrr. I cant think straight and jumping here and there trying to control. So, we decided to use the phone to call her, despite knowing it might cause a toll on the phone bill. Thank God, we managed to call her and got to her house safely that night, around 1 am in the morning.
That night we slept soundly at Alia’s place. Zzzzz. The next morning, we went around at the beach. And OH-EM-GEEE! the beach was SO DAMN beautiful!! What you saw on the internet, was the exact thing you see with your bare eyes. The beach was white, and the water was clear blue. Such a breath taking scenery! I cant describe as to how pretty that place is in words. you guys just have to go yourself and see the beautiful creation Allah has made. Smile

And just like in Venice, we are blessed when we found out that we were in time for the closing ceremony for Carnaval de Nice. Hihi.. And I am super glad that my childhood friend,Athir came all the way from his college by train to meet! We had dinner that night,at a halal fast food chain, which serve fried chicken, (some sort of KFC mirrors?) which Alia’s boyfriend foot the bill (Thank you so much!) and went enjoying the carnival.

The night was filled with fireworks and parade. The fireworks was so pretty and impressive! And we had the best crowd ever! We were spraying away the party string, with kids running around, and songs. Definitely a night to remember! Smile

The next day, with Alia’s guide, we went to Monte Carlo, Monaco by bus for 1 Euro (or was it 2 euro?) from Nice. Which take only 30 minutes by bus. It was quite a journey.. The bus travelled along the beach, up the hill, feasting our eyes on the beauty of nature. Seeing the port, the white beach.. Definite tantalizing view!

We had a picnic at the port, with bought food at the grocery’s store near the port overlooking the beautiful sea, and birds coming around to have bits of our fallen chips on the ground. etc. It cant be more romantic. Smile with tongue out if only I could be there with my loved one! >.<
We went around the casino, to the first Grand Prix track (which is actually a normal road people drive over there), Prince’s Palace, the Old town, where many small shops selling souvenirs and a St Martin Jardin (Garden)and a visit to the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium. The museum was really interesting, filled with so many exotic fishes in a a classic European style building (which look like more of a castle to me), and old fossils of fishes and old tools used by the old people to do research on oceanology.
