I feel so bad not updating this blog, that i decided that it’s time that i put on a double entry on this post. Well, just like what the title stated, we are going to see what I had while i was in Venice and Milan, Italy (which happened 7 months back, pffft)
So……. What did we do or discover in Venice? We stayed at a hotel in Venice Mestre, which is around 30 minutes bus rides to the “real” venice which actually located somewhat like an island. We were so lucky because on the day we got there, Carnival de Venice was happening, and there were a lot of people dressing up in costumes like you usually saw in the movies. With big gown dresses, masks.. some sort like a masquerade.
The view you got in Venice was absolutely magnificent! Have you seen the movie Tourist, by Angelina Jolie and the handsome Depp? It looks the SAME! I must say that what you saw in photos, movies is really what they looks like in real life. No Photoshop required! instead, you are the one appalled and feels like you might be in a fantasy land! The buildings, the water, the structure in every inch was truly something you could appreciate, and made you wonder how did the people in the old days really live back in the golden era. sigh~
we also managed to hop on the canal bus (was it a boat?) to the Murano island, which is famous for the glass making production. We got to see how they sculpted the glass and turned it into beautiful art decoration, ie: horses, lamp, etc.
So.. after Venice, we straight ahead to Milan, the city of Fashion! ![]()
hurm.. what can i really say about Milan… There are actually nothing interesting in Milan, unless you are bringing million of dollars to spend on branded and designer items!
the city of Milan was loaded with so many stores of prominent brands, u name it, they have it! Sits near the Piazza del Duomo were a lot of boutiques stores. We even manage to go into Gucci Flagship Store in Milan! if only money was not an object……….. =.=” haha..
random events/observation:
1) We were stopped by an Italian lady at the station and asked Zarina how she wears her hijab. So, Zarina demonstrated how she wears them in the middle of bustling train station!
2) An Italian man talked to me in Italian thinking that I’m a local (haha) >.<
3) I can’t find the body lotion sold in GAP store in Japan, in Milan’s GAP. =.=.
So here it goes!
Next stories in line are: Nice/ Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Paris. ![]()
