Prejudgement

Prejudgement:
: to judge before hearing or before full and sufficient examination
Cited from Merriam Webster dictionary.

It happened all the time. Remember when you see someone at the curb of the roads, wearing filthy clothes, picking up some empty soda cans, at the back of your mind you’ll say  “he must be a poor man!”.  But Ive heard from my late dad about how a detective friend of his would actually act like those man, or act like a drug addict for his job. hurm…

One situation of which I could relate to is something happened to me in at a few cosmetics booths in a few countries I've went to during my Europe trip, Malaysia, and Japan. I've been eying this liquid foundation but it was not yet sold in Japan. So when I was in Paris, I asked the artist which number or color of the foundation would suits me, so she picked out the  NC30 and  NW35 that actually fits my skin tone perfectly! But since it was already 8 oclock at the moment, I decided not to rush and buy it on the spot, thinking I would come back later to buy them. Instead we never came back. Sad smile So, when I came back to Japan, the foundation came out in Japan market just recently. Tempted to buy, I went to the makeup counter, and asked the stylist which one would suits me. Well, being a Malaysian, I’m of course darker than most Japanese here, she picked out the darkest tone available at the counter which was NC40 if I was not mistaken. And of course, the colour wasnt not the colour I am in! Being offended, I decided not to buy from her at all, and  asked Ris to buy for me instead, all the way from America (thx Ris!!)

Well, it's about versatility, how exposed you are to the outer world and how open your mind is. It wont come to you unless you gain them thru experience, discovering and learning new things day by day.

However, sometimes you could use”prejudgement”  to your advantage instead. As the saying says, picture portrays a thousand words. Maybe you should do a little bit touch up here and there, polish your shoes, wax your hair, groom yourself, talk with confidence, portraying a suave look for man and create a lasting impressions to someone you are meeting for the first time, let’s say for an interview or maybe for a date. Perhaps it would help you score contract worth a million dollars?

So, here’s a video made by Matluthfi ( a Malaysian youtuber, currently studying in Australia?) on prejudgement. Enjoy!
