Hello there! time flies just waaaay too fast these few days (or weeks?) for me. All of sudden, it’s already past half of the month of June, and there is no new blog post for the month of June yet. So to make it up, i guess it’s time for me to spill out the continuation of my Europe trip from Brussels to Rome, Italy. I know I’m so slow at writing these posts of my Europe trip, I think i might end up having the Europe trip story covered up in a year span of my blog posts. sigh.
Moving on, we took a a plane ride by Ryanair from Brussels to Rome. I totally despise Ryanair for having such a damn strict rules on the weight and the size of hand luggage to be brought into the plane. The limit for the hand luggage would be less than 10 kg, and the bag you bring in must fit into the allocated bag measurer? If you don't meet the requirement, you’ll be charged for 30 Euro?? I don't know, I cant remember. We (me, Zarina, Gent the mates to my Euro trip) tried to reassemble our bags, wear all our coats, slipped in the camera and a few clothes, and items in our jacket just to make sure everything fit. It was stressful! And once we boarded into the plane, we were seated separately as everyone else were already boarded and there was no seat allocation on Ryanair. (Stupid! Even our own low cost carrier Air Asia is better than Ryanair!)
So we arrived at the airport in Rome at night around 9pm and took the bus to the nearest metro station, but to our surprise, when arrived at the Metro station, the Metro service was already ended for the day! So we have to wait and take another bus to get ourselves to the Termini Station in the slight drizzle at night. And when we arrived at Termini, we were so tired and stressed out that we decided to take the cab instead, straight to the place we’ve booked earlier, named Camping Village Roma. We booked the “bungalow” for 3 adults. Well, the pictures from the booking site does deceived us a little bit, looks a little bit posh, while it’s not. However, the facilities provided were up to our satisfaction and the receptionist was very friendly to us. we were taken with a buggy to our “bungalow” that night since we had heavy luggage and it was still raining.
we were too tired that night and slept all the way till the next morning.

our “bungalow”
we woke up the next morning and started our wanderings around Rome, by going back to Termini and find ourselves halal brunch of Biryani chicken and beef, and kebab! It was so-so, but do remind us of Biryani back home in Malaysia, the ones you have at those mamak stall or biryani Johor! =.=”

BIRYANI!!
so, once we had our tummy filled, we got ourselves ticket for the hop-on hop-off buss thinking that it was wiser since it started to drizzle again, and we would have a proper transport to go to all the must-visit spots in Rome without the hassle of waiting for busses or train or taxis or even eliminating the hassle of checking out the map to walk to these places and we would have a proper guide or explanation of the entire places that we went to in the bus. ![]()
so… let’s check out where we went all day round in Rome!!
first, piazza venezia!
next would be the infamous coliseums of course! it was truly larger than what we expected it should! there were some people wearing gladiators suit and we can have our pics taken with them for a few euros.
next was the St. Peter’s Square near Basilica, Vatican City. The place was humungous and the queue to get inside the Vatican City itself was so long and custom check is needed on everyone. So, we decided to just walk and camwhoring at the square. hihi.. ![]()
then we hop again into our bus. we asked the driver which stop is the nearest to the Hard Rock Cafe, and instead of stopping at the real stops, the driver kindly stopped across Hard Rock itself! thank you uncle driver!
well, it’s not complete without getting yourself the city’s hard rock tee huh?

after that, we wander around the city of Rome, find ourselves a posh restaurant for dinner, and this is what we had!
that’s anchovies pizza! yum2!
yes, i am excited!
at night we managed to squeeze ourselves to the Trevi Fountain! hehe.. the place itself was filled with romantic air~ i guess it’s better if you go with your partner to get the romance feelings~ LOL.
i guess, that’s all is what i have to say for my Rome, entourage..
Rome is one place with so many beautiful architecture buildings, and when you are there, you are sure to feel as if you were brought to another time space! And I guess it’s better to do a little bit of Rome history study before you come so that you would really appreciate the buildings, and the remains of the Rome Empire.
that’s all!
